At the first regular meeting of the new year on January 4, 2012, there was a good discussion surrounding D-STAR and what it would mean for MARC to put one into service.  After about 1-1/2 hours of good discussion, a motion was made and carried that MARC would acquire a 70cm D-STAR through a special offer made by ICOM.  The work would be done by a sub-committee of the repeater committee, with Dick Hayman WN3R as the sub-committee chair.
